shi Er (Yuen Biao) is an orphan found by an old Taoist priest (Wu Ma) in a wooden basin by the river. He named him Shi Er and raised him to adulthood. Shi Er has been following the old Taoist priest to catch ghosts and demons since he was a child. He has little contact with the secular world and only has one friend, Cui Shusheng (played by Wu Qihua). The Ghost King (played by Li Meifeng) has always been evil and often kidnaps innocent girls and takes them to the underworld. Mo Chou is a young girl taken away by the Ghost King. She was kidnapped on her way to get married and became a lonely ghost, controlled by the Ghost King. Cui Shusheng met Mo Chou who could be attached to the painting by chance. He was obsessed with her graceful and lovely figure, but the Ghost King never let Mo Chou go. Cui Shusheng was determined to rescue Mo Chou, but was caught by the Ghost King. Shi Er wanted to rescue his friend, but the old Taoist priest was unwilling to help. Can Shi Er rescue Cui Shusheng? Is the Taoist priest who kindly adopted the orphan really so heartless?
