In the early morning of April 26, 1986, the fourth reactor of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant near Pripyat, Ukraine, exploded. The initial steam explosion killed two people, and the high energy radiation released in the accident caused even more serious damage, and the number of casualties is still difficult to count. In another spring of 2008, cartoonist Emmanuelle took a train to this place, ready to go deep into the isolation zone and use his brush to record his two month life in this land that still left deep trauma. Today, on the 32nd anniversary of the Chernobyl incident, we bring you "Chernobyl Spring" to commemorate the victims of the past accident.
